The Indian Premier League Council has announced a mini auction to be held in Jeddah on 24& 25 November 2024. For the auction, 1574 players have registered their names. Out of the total 1574, there will be 329 capped stars, including 48 Indian players.

This time, a maximum of 91 players are from South Africa, while 30 players come from associate nations such as Canada, Scotland, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the Netherlands, and Italy. After deductions for retentions, the ten franchises’ maximum purse of Rs 120 crore leaves Rs 656.75 crore for the auction. The Punjab Kings have the most budget of Rs 110.5 crore to spend in the mega auction after spending Rs 9.5 crore on two retentions.

A team may purchase up to 25 players, including retention. Only 206 players are now available, since 46 players have been kept thus far. A squad may consist of no more than eight players. Since none of the international players were kept by the Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, or Royal Challengers Bangalore during the retention period, these three teams have room for eight to eight foreign players.

Chennai Super Kings
Among five players in their squad, Chennai Super Kings have retained one overseas player. They have 55 crores spare after a 65-crore-spend this long ago. Twenty players have to be bought out of this total. A team can purchase up to 25 players but does not have to spend that much and is not required to.
The Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals have a balance of Rs 76.25 crores after they spent Rs 43.75 crores in the retention of four players. There is space for twenty-one players.
Gujarat Titans
The Gujarat Titans have Rs 69 crores left after Rs 51 crores were spent to retain five players. They can now sign 20 players.
Kolkata Knight Riders
After retaining six players, including two overseas cricketers, the Kolkata Knight Riders had Rs 63 crore left after spending Rs 57 crore. They can now buy six international players out of the 19 players available.
Lucknow Supergiants
The Lucknow Supergiants have retained five players with a commitment of 51 crores, including one foreign player. So they can now spend the remaining 69 crores on a maximum of 20 players, including seven international players.
Mumbai Indians
The Mumbai Indians retained five players and spent 75 crores with no new signings. The remaining 45 crores can be used to buy as many as 20 players, including eight overseas players.
Punjab Kings
Without the foreign players, Punjab Kings had 9.50 crores and it retained the least number of players-just two. With the remaining 110.50 crores, it can buy up to 23 players with eight of them being foreign.
Rajasthan Royals
Rajasthan Royals retained six players and spent 79 crores, including one overseas player. They can now buy up to 19 players, including seven overseas.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad retained five players after spending 75 crores. Out of the five, three are overseas players. Hence, they can now spend the remaining 45 crores on a maximum of 20 players, with five being foreigners.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Without any overseas players counted, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has spent 37 crores and retained three players. With the remaining 83 crores, they can now buy up to 22 players, including 8 overseas players.
